This will be a broad discussion of the requirements for tracking and calculating flow in Revit Ducts and Pipes. We will start with the basic requirements and move through a project to more advanced concepts, focusing on the benefits both to designers and builders.

Don Rasmusson is an MEP Application Engineer with Cad Technology Center who specializes in Revit MEP, as well as AutoCAD MEP, Autodesk Fabrication, & Navisworks. He has over 10 years experience in the MEP construction & engineering fields using BIM and has utilized the workflow to construct several large projects throughout the Midwest, clean room facilities, health care facilities, office buildings, hotels, casinos and more. He is also a regular speaker at several local, regional and national events. As an adolescent, he spent every summer and school break (sometimes unofficial) working in his father’s HVAC company, fabricating duct as well as installing and servicing HVAC systems. His experience puts him in a unique position as an Application Engineer to not only understand the nuances of the mechanical industry, but to understand where Autodesk software best fits throughout the lifecycle of any MEP project.
